Spiral Up:
How our brains are wired to learn, adapt and grow
In this session, we’ll explore the science of how we learn, adapt, and grow and how mindset can help us make the most of it. We’ll learn a simple framework for how growth actually happens and create a personal “semester experiment” to put it into practice. This session will be located on the Watauga Campus, in building W372 Classroom 121.

- Do I have to attend every session?
Each session explores something different and can stand on its own, while also connecting to the larger series. We encourage folks to attend as many as they can, but you’re welcome to join us for just one or two!
- What should I expect?
These are laid-back lunch workshops, not lectures. We’ll use short videos, conversation, activities, and real-life scenarios to explore ideas and practice useful skills.
- Will I have to talk or share personal information?
No. There will be opportunities to participate, but you’ll never be required to share anything personal or participate if you don't want to.
- Who can attend?
Resilience Academy is open to all CCC&TI students, faculty and staff on the Watauga Campus.
