Academic Planning Session - Caldwell Campus
Description
What is an APS?
An Academic Planning Session (APS) is a comprehensive, 2.5-hour preparation session designed for new students at CCCTI, as well as former students who are returning to us to finish a degree or start a new one!
APS sessions are held in small-group settings with a handful of your fellow new & returning CCCTI students.
APS will provide you with your CCCTI Orientation, a short tour of campus and a course planning period where we will help you plan/register for your classes. We will also provide plenty of space to ask any questions you may have about all things college and student-related.
Our goal for these sessions is that you walk away feeling fully prepared to begin or resume your journey as a student at CCCTI!
Note: You are welcome to bring any/all parents or support people to your APS. They DO NOT require registration, so please do not sign them up so a seat remains open for another student. Thank you!
How do I prepare for an APS?
All we ask that you bring to your session is a positive attitude and any questions that you may have!
We do ask that you try to arrive about 5 minutes before the scheduled start of your session and that you allot at least 2 hours to complete the session. When you arrive, please come to the service desk on the 1st floor of F-Building to begin your session (a campus map will be provided in your registration confirmation email).
Thank you for signing up for an Academic Planning Session at CCCTI and we look forward to serving you!
Questions & Answers
Generally, you do not have to bring anything other than a positive attitude! However, if it has been communicated to you that we are missing any important documentation, such as transcripts, tax documents (for your FAFSA) or anything else, then you are welcome to bring those things to this session!
Yes, absolutely! You are welcome to bring anyone with to your APS to provide support. Please DO NOT register any support people (just register yourself). We will make sure there is plenty of space for them!
You will begin your APS at the front desk of Student Services. This is located on the first floor of F-Building. See the map provided in your registration confirmation email for reference!
Our APS Sessions are set for 2.5 hours. Typically, we are finished in under 2 hours, but we encourage you to ensure you are available for the duration of the session, if possible.
